That's what I thought too. I doubt this story is made up, as surely nobody can be that sad, but I doubt we have the exact trail of events, particuarly bearing in mind who the OP is.

Entirely appropriate reaction. I was on a train a few years back and some teenage twat started pouring his coke on one of the drinks trays next to the seat.
Some old dear asked him, politely, not to do that. He told her to fuck off. I reacted but just about managed to not get violent. Ended with him saying sorry to her and cleaning up with a towel given to him by the conductor.
I felt pretty good about it until he called me a cunt when getting off the train. The twat didn't think about doing it just as he stepped off though so I was able to bundle him off the train. He said sorry again and sounded like he was going to cry.
So, I make you about right. Too many cocky idiots who need to know their place.
